Trip Report

Scotchman Peak — Saturday, Jun. 17, 2017

Eastern Washington > Selkirk Range

A small group of ladies trekked, trekked, trekked up enjoying the views along the way! The trail was clear and free of brush/limbs as we passed by many hikers, as they enjoyed the fresh air as well. More than half way up we crossed some slushy, soft snow patches and slipped on traction devices. Be careful with placement of footing as you can slip easily. The next obstacle was a rock scramble, so again take your time with balance. Amazing view at top!

Good idea to do a quick tick check when back at vehicles as we found some in hair and on clothes. Comes with the territory! As we drove away, a huge moose ran right in front of our car, so take it slow driving away:)

My pacman rock says we reached the "next level"
