Tuck and Robin Lakes — Saturday, Jun. 24, 2017

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway

Our original plan was to hike to Marmot and Jade lake but the snow made us turn around and we saw a sign for Tuck and Robin Lake instead so we decided to navigate there instead. After finding the trail for Tuck Lake within the snow fields the trail was clear of snow and it was a trek up. You climb 1,100 feet within 1.2 miles so be prepared.  Once we got to the lake there was still a good amount of snow so we had to set up camp in the snow. We were the only ones up there and it was so nice!  The views are amazing! We also climbed the rocks by the lake and sat up there in the sun to enjoy the mountain views. So amazing!  We decided against trying to hike up to Robin Lake cause it looked pretty snowy on the trail and we heard it wasn't well maintained. Overall the lake wasn't a disappointment. We put our feet in and it was so cold! It was still frozen over a bit. We even saw a mountain goat.

It took us about maybe 1.5 hours up to hike the 1.2 miles (we hiked 9 miles before we hiked up so we were tired) and 50 mins down the next day.  The hike is almost 6 miles one way from the trail head. Good luck if you attempt it!

Thanks for the report! Can you tell me more about the snow conditions on the way to Jade lake? At what point did you have to turn around? Thinking about it for this weekend. Thanks so much!

Sorry I just saw this. When we saw the turn off from deception pass for Marmot lake we turned around. We didn't want to navigate
for 5 more miles to the lakes. Did you end up going?
