Copper Creek — Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017

hiked this with my teenager and friends. The young dudes made it, but I turned back after about 1.5 miles to hang out at the creek while they went to the top. Very steep and unrelenting climb and a tough one for someone that hasn't hiked in a long time. beautiful forest and creek setting. the creek actually is dry down below the mine shaft. the creek has a good flow above the mine then just disappears into the ground. bring a walking staff and a lot of water. no crowds on this summer saturday
