We arrived at the trailhead around 9 and were the only car. The trail is well maintained, although we did encounter a newly fallen trees across the path about halfway up. It was pretty easy to get around though. Our GPS said the total distance was 4.6 miles, not the 3.5 the trail description stated, but the elevation gain was accurate at 720 ft or so. The day was overcast with even a very light rain, keeping the trail cool and bugs away. Clouds obstructed most of the views but overall it's a really nice trail. Be careful on the way down though, some of the sandy, steep sections required careful footing.
