Glacier Basin is a very scenic hike. We suggest everyone attempts at least some of it. We documented the entire hike on our Endless Adventure Episode below. You don't have to go all the way to the basin either, Monte Cristo the old mining ghost town was a pleasant surprise for us. There is also a waterfall which roughly marks where the elevation gain starts to pick up drastically. We saw some people turning back at this point. The waterfall can seem steep but you just have to imagine you are a miner in the 18th century heading to your workday. Once you make your way around the backside of the waterfall you will be greeted with amazing lush greenery growing out of the creek and river. The trail widens into a boulder feild where it's not very distinct. The trail is marked with stacked rocks on the left side of the basin. Get out there! Go Adventure!
