Capitol State Forest - Mima Falls Loop — Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017

I hiked the Mima Falls East trail, which if you follow the directions from the site is where you end up. A word of warning if you don't have a discover pass on you there is no place to buy a day pass at the trail head. The trail itself wasn't difficult but was narrow at places, especially when horseback riders came up and you had to try and shuffle to the side. The first half of the hike i spent more time watching my feet for horse manure rather than looking at the surroundings. and the second half was fairly muddy from recent rains. Overall the hike was an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. The dogs got to meet horses for the first time and left the hike tired.
