Perfect weather day for a snowshoe outing. With the traffic after the recent snowfall packing down the trail, snowshoes were not needed and we waited to put them on until a bit up the trail. They were helpful for traction (some had just spikes and were fine).
We started around 8 AM - parking was plentiful and very few people were on the trail that early.
