Returning day hikers told us that Cady Ridge was snow covered and impassable, so we hiked up Cady Creek Trail #1501 instead. The trail was hard to find at times due to over grown brush, swollen creeks, and snow patches. There were some fallen trees blocking the trail, but nothing too hard to navigate. We spent the night at the camp near the creek (which was nice) and day hiked up onto the Pacific Crest Trail. About a mile into the PCT trek to Lake Sally Anne we lost the trail under snow pack. We turned around and hiked toward Cady Pass. I think we found the campsite at Cady Pass, but it was hard to tell since it was under snow and we couldn’t find the trail after awhile. It was fun to explore, but we were unable to do the loop. Snow in July!
