Noble Knob — Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018

Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410

started at the Dalles Ridge TH around 2pm. got to the top of Noble Knob in about an hour(?). roads were no big deal in a truck, sedans may want to go slower. awesome trail with the potential for incredible views... unfortunately clouds blocked most of my views today. :( Got to the top of the knob and sat down to have a snack... immediately heard thunder. one ridge over were dark clouds and rain... needless to say I booked it down the trail trying to get off the ridge. was surprised to see two other parties still making their way up.... otherwise, the flowers were pretty and blooming. lots of lakes below to look at. mind you footing as a bit of the trail is along a steep dropoff. trail is dry, so bring plenty water since it's mostly exposed, but a nice breeze helped keep me cool.
