Trip Report

Boulder River — Wednesday, May. 22, 2019

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway

The road to the trailhead is just as bad as the other trip reports state. It was a very slow drive at 5-10 mph while navigating around the craters. The trail itself is in pretty good shape. WTA was out clearing some of the deadfall and cutting steps into some others. We did the hike with my 5 year old and an 11 month old in a baby carrier. It was a bit of slow going from the first set of falls to the second due to the rocks and roots on the trail, but overall it was a pretty good family hike.
