Went right after a rain to avoid the mosquitos - and we were in luck! No mosquitos in sight. But plenty of ripe blueberries - especially after the turn off in the last mile.
We got a little lost heading up Mount Mccausland - make sure to head right in the last stretch and don't go up the backside of the mountain like we did. If the trail looks like it ends then you are on the wrong one! Very cloudy day, but we still got lovely views of Lake Valhalla.
Once you reach the rocky outcropping at the top of the mountain, continue on straight until you find the summit box. There's a solid path all the way to the summit box, and it's very fun to read what other's have written.
