Indian Bar - Cowlitz Divide — Friday, Aug. 30, 2019

Had a great day hike to Indian Bar. I am fairly good shape but having to come up out of Indian Bar was hard. It's a lot of up and down on the last couple of miles. Met several people doing the Wonderland Trail. Met a couple of people doing day hikes from Sunrise to Box Canyon and White River to Box Canyon. They are tougher than me. The bear was the coolest part. He made me a little nervous because he was small and I was worried about his mother. However, I think he must have been newly weaned. He noticed me but was more interested in eating berries.
