Great quick trip to sheep lake. Had planned to do sourdough gap too since it's really a continuation of the sheep lake trail but it was so socked in with clouds that we figured the views would be moot.
Trail is in good condition and fall colors are great in the mountain ash and huckleberry.
Saw a black bear and cub from the parking lot, up on the ridge above the trail. Saw no evidence of them near us or paying any mind to humans.
