Redmond Watershed Preserve — Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

We arrived at the south parking lot at 9 and had no trouble finding parking in this large, paved lot.  There was a large hiking group and a cross country running team that was starting just as we were.  We didn't cross paths with the hiking group, but the runners passed us periodically during our first hour of the hike.

We hiked a large loop around the reserve.  We started on Trillium and took it to Collin's Creek.  From there, we hiked to Silas Mill and took that trail to Pipeline and then hooked up with Powerline, which took us back to the parking lot.   The trails are in great shape.  We even saw 5 horses on the trails today.  We hike this trail system regularly and today was the first time we saw horses.  Always a pleasure to stop and admire them.

Hiking the loop trails we did, we logged 6 miles and about 325' in elevation gain.  This is a wonderful, peaceful trail system that is never crowded.  We'll be back!
