Started from Hurricane Ridge. Hiked 5 miles down for lunch and returned. Enjoyed the hike. It has an even moderate grade and a nice combination of views and trees. There are a couple of short sections that could use some brushing out about 3-4 miles down. Nothing that prevents passage. We cleared about 8 small trees crossing the trail using a folding saw. 4 larger trees in the 12 inch diameter range remain. 3 are at ground level and can be stepped over. The 4th is overhead but after some limb clearing it can be walked under. The big issue is a slide out 1 mile from the top with the trail along the edge. A new trail section would be a good idea.
