I love coming to this beach. My dog does too. Hoyt goes crazy the minute we leave I5 headed to the ferry. He knows exactly where we are going.
Today was a moody day. Started on the ferry. Zero visibility because of the fog. I’ve never rode the ferry in fog. Very eerie. It was still foggy on the return trip too.
The beach was covered in fog and of all the countless times I’ve been here it’s never been like that. You could see the water line on the sand but nothing else after that. It was low tide too. So lots of beach to run and play on.
I always walk from Useless Bay to Mutiny Bay to take advantage of the beach, get extra mileage n and because Hoyt loves this beach so much. We like to spend as much time as we can.
The fog eventually lifted but not 100%. Of coarse it was when we were about 1/2 way back to the parking lot. So 3/4 of the trip today was foggy but it was a new experience that was not too bad. Definitely gave the beach a different vibe.
Lots of great driftwood structures up. There was even one with 2 rooms with a table and benches on each side. All out of driftwood. Very talented builders.
Never a disappointment coming to Double Bluff. Very grateful for this amazing off leash dog beach.
