Trip Report

Bridle Trails State Park — Thursday, Apr. 27, 2023

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Trillium abound at Bridle Trails!

Started hiking around 4:30pm on a Thursday. Trail was dry in most sections with minimal horse poop. We passed a number of trail runners and walkers without incident. Everyone was polite on the trail and moved aside so no one had to stop walking while passing.

Starting to see more mushrooms along the trails, including the oddity in the last photo below. How did that happen?! Trillium are in bloom, as well as salmonberries. Didn't see many wildlife on this visit, but enjoyed the escape into the forest. This is one of the best parks in Kirkland for forest bathing, in my experience!
