Headed up the Indian Creek Trail to Indian Creek Falls. The road is washed out. Somebody moved the barricade. I wouldn’t go past the barricade with my car. The road is terrible soon after that. We parked at a wide turnout before the barricade. It’s a little over 3 miles to the falls from here. The road is great until that point. The trail is evidently not maintained by the forest service anymore. That being said, it’s still in great shape and really wide most of the way. There are quite a bit downed trees to go over and for the ones you can’t there are side user paths to avoid the obstacles. There are a few washouts. The last one was the worst. We climbed up the other side of the gully and bushed around till we found the trail. You should just go in the gully and hike up it until you spot the trail on the left. Next major obstacle is the ford of Indian Creek. Water flow level is already down so it wasn’t a problem. We took the switchbacks up the other side until we heard the falls. We got off the trail and followed the canyon rim until we got satisfying views of Indian Creek Falls. It was gorgeous. I’ll have to return next year for peak flows. Great day!
