A great walk in the woods! Mostly in shade and mostly solitary--mid-day and mid-week. Saw 6 other hikers and 3 mountain bikers, but no equestrians today. Ate a few red huckleberries and a few native wild blackberries. Yum!

Did NOT eat the Devil's Club berries, but took a picture. Appreciated the opportunity to wash my shoes. I imagine it's for horse manure, but it's a good reminder not to transport weed seeds from site to site.

Wide trails, good tread, and mostly level terrain. This would be great for a field trip with botanizers, birdwatchers, or other naturalists.
