Quartzite Mountain — Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023

What a beautiful and quick hike! Very steep in places. My dog Bernie’s paws were feeling how hot the soil was in the midday sun, the trail is surprisingly exposed most of the way. Two downed trees easily climbed over and some spots where the trail is starting to erode. Definitely a calf burner but you’ll be up before you know it and soaking up the views! Just incredible! We did the whole thing in just about an hour.
