Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
paw print by the river

We saw fish- large fish possibly Salmon- in the river from the bridge.  We made a short walk along Cottonwood loop but not all the signs were there so got lost and headed toward the river.  At the river, on the side of the campground sites 39+ that is farther from the bridge, there are some nice rapids and possible saw a fish jumping.  On the sand up the embankment I noticed the large clawed paw print amongst the others (trying to upload an image).  Other than that, there were some Eastern Cottontails and some slimey brown slugs.
