We arrived at 8:30am and got one of the last marked spots at the trailhead. We had a very quiet hike and arrived at the lake with only one other group there. We spent a lazy half hour enjoying nature and then headed back down. By the time we got back to the parking area at 11am (pic included), there were so many people it was like they were opening a new Wal-Mart or something. While people were still making parking spots all over the place, we were all very glad that we got up early to have a peaceful hike instead of walking in a conga line up the trail. The weather was perfect with no smoke and good temps.

Was the trail super busy on the way down or just the parking lot because of Naches Peak loop? Thx

Yeah the trail was busy but a chunk of those cars must have been going other places too. First time hiking from that trailhead so I don't have a lot to compare it to.
