Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410
Noble Knob by Murrayk

Great hike! Hiked via the Dalles Ridge trailhead. I thought the drive up was not bad at all. It’s a bit rough starting out with potholes and washboards but it got better as you went up. Took us about 30 minutes from when we turned off 410 to get to the trailhead parking.

Trail itself is lovely! You get views of Mount Rainier right away and the fall colors are gorgeous. Although the trees are burned they are also beautiful with their white washed look.

We did it a little later in the day, starting at the trailhead after 3. Hiked to the top, hung out and ate snacks then was back down to the car by 6. Only downside of going at that time was Rainier doesn’t show up as well. But I enjoyed the sun coming through the trees and lighting up the fall colors. The air was also quite cold by time we walked down. I was glad I had my puffy jacket and beanie on.

Great hike though! I did it with my 70+ year old parents and they enjoyed it as well:)
