White Chuck Bench — Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023

Tree across the road about 3 miles up from the Mtn Loop Highway. I opted to park and walk up to the trail from there. Learned it wouldn’t have mattered, the next obstacle is about ten minutes past the first, so this trail is only accessible after hiking the FS road up a few miles.

Such a pretty hike. The path is not overgrown but would be quickly if nature had its way. Like a rainy, mossy fairyland. I only made it to the bridge (because of the FS stroll, it was later in the afternoon than I wanted), but loved every minute.

Only ran into one other hiking group. Very pleasant and honestly fun to see all of the ways a road can go out (trees, washouts, cement).
