Whoops, I got out of the habit of making trip reports ... but since I checked here myself before hiking up to South Bessemer today and didn't see anything super recent, I'm going to drop a few notes.
I traded off breaking trail today with another group which was tough going but the sun was shining and the views were great. Snowshoes were essential in my opinion; if I didn't have mine, I would have bailed. Hard to say when the weather will erase our tracks so best to have a downloaded map to refer to - once the trail dissapeared, I was certainly referring to mine.
I brought microspikes but didn't use those today - I went from no traction to snowshoes. There's a couple steam crossings, the first of which has very slippery rock to be mindful of. Definitely a fun and challenging Winter summit!
