Redmond Watershed Preserve — Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

The hiking grandmas were back on trail today, we again picked a new urban trail from the Urban Trails Eastside. This park has been covered pretty extensively in other reports so I will just give some general impressions. The preserve is made up of a network of trails thru the woods and past several ponds. We did the Trillium, Old Pond, Collin Creek, Silers Mill, part of the Pipeline, and both the Trout Loop and the Tree Frog Loop. All trails are in great shape, wide and easy traveling with lots of benches for resting. The signage is good and easy to follow. The gain is gradual, we got 500+ gain total. The Trout trail has some interpretive signage. The Tree Frog is paved and ADA, but I will say this, unless you have a power chair or strong arms, it would be difficult to push a wheelchair down to the pond and back up. Check out the WTA website for good ADA info on this trail. The loo is a luxury loo, flush toilets and running water. Picnic tables are near the parking lot. We did about 7 miles in our meander.  FYI NO DOGS are allowed in the preserve.
