What a beautiful hike! It was incredibly windy, and we could hear it whistling as soon as we got out of the car. For those that are willing to brave the chilly temperatures, this is a wonderful time of year to do this hike. It was dry and chilly, and we had the area almost entirely to ourselves.

The forest was very lush, and the trail had a lot of neat things to look at while we were hiking. We took several breaks in between switchbacks, but this just allowed us to admire the vastness of the forest more.

There are some steep sections, but the trail is very well maintained. In some areas, you will come across some stone steps. Some of them are a bit dramatic, so I would advise anyone with knee or joint issues to bring sturdy trekking poles with them, and perhaps a friend for extra support.

This is a lovely trail with an incredible payoff. I could spend all day at the summit. Enjoy, fellow hikers!
