Trip Report

Boulder River — Friday, Apr. 20, 2001

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway
Sporatically decided to go hike the Boulder River trail to Feature Show Falls (I needed a new picture). There are a pair of blown down trees over the trail, no less than 5 feet off the ground, so no problems with blocking the path. Still pretty muddy in places. I also tromped down to Boulder Falls (the falls on the River, not coming into the river, as most misinterprete). There's a very faint trail about 1/2 mile from the trailhead that leads steeply down to the river. Not an impressive waterfall (more like a big boulder garden), but nice.
