Arrived at the trailhead exactly at 9:30am. Plenty of spots for around 15+ cars but there was only one other car when I parked. I did not encounter anyone during this 1 hour hike save for the hikers that arrived prior to me. Total mileage was ~3 miles after encountering some heel pain issues that forced an early return.
I hiked this trail after having done back-to-back 10 milers and this was a nice and easy change of pace. The trail is entirely paved save for the route to Devil's Punch Bowl, which is a quick quarter-mile stretch to the bridge.
Being paved as it is, this trail is wheelchair friendly and has gentle inclines. Excellent for beginning hikers or those that cannot traverse difficult terrain.
Paved road was wet but elevation is too low for snow/ice. Passable for all vehicles. Average temp was mid to high 30s.
This hike was the third of three hikes on this trip to the Olympic NF/NP. If you are planning to visit, feel free to review my trips to Deadfall/Mt.Zion and Lower Gray Wolf River.
