Hall Mountain — Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010

Eastern Washington > Selkirk Range
The group at the old cabin on Noisy Creek.
This was a relatively easy dayhike despite the round-trip length (14.2 miles) and elevation gain (summit at 6,323'). Water is abundant for the first 3 miles, but there is no water once the trail leaves Noisy Creek; we simply carried all the water we needed for the day. The views from the summit are fantastic and the wildflowers are in full bloom right now. Get an early start to benefit from cool morning temperatures, as this trail can be very hot in the afternoons and the last two miles are exposed. The trail itself is in great shape right now!
Mint, wildflowers, and sagebrush at 6000'!
More wildflowers and sagebrush at 6000'!
Relaxing at the summit.
