Enjoy wildflowers, solitude, and gorgeous views of Puget Sound on this lovely little hike down a pretty trail to Watmaugh Bay Beach. The park is located off Watmough Head Road, and the beach is beautiful; perfect for a picnic.
This is a beautiful forest walk ending at some open bluffs with stunning views. Walk along the bluffs all the way to the END OF PUBLIC LANDS sign and then turn around and head back the way you came. Be sure to turn left into the woods to complete the loop.
There is an outhouse at the trailhead and at the beach.

Getting There
From the Lopez ferry landing, head south on Ferry Road for 2 miles. Turn left on Center Road, and continue for 5.6 miles. Turn left on Mud Bay Road, and turn right immediately to stay on Mud Bay Road. Continue for 4 miles. Turn right onto Aleck Bay Road, and continue for 0.5 miles. Continue forward onto Watmough Head Road for about 1.2 miles to the trailhead.
