A lovely alternate to walking the West Side Road, the Round Pass trail heads east to the South Puyallup Trail.
From the end of the drivable part of the West Side Road, hike along the road itself, passing a turnoff for the Tahoma Creek trail. Past this turnoff, the former road begins climbing steadily through trees to Round Pass.
The pass is the intersection of the Gobbler's Knob trail (hiker's left as you arrive at the pass) and the Round Pass trail (to your right). The trail leads you east and gradually descends to the South Puyallup Trail and the section of the Wonderland trail that leads to Klapatche Park.
