This steep trail goes from Forest Road 4517-117 to the Cle Elum Ridge Trail. Hike up switchbacks beneath a forest of ponderosa pine and fir trees to reach some spectacular views of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Be sure to bring waterproof shoes, as the creek comes over the trail in places.

Getting There

From I-90, take exit 78 to Golf Course Road. Continue on Golf Course Road for about 0.8 mile, and at the “T” intersections, take a left onto Westside Drive. In a little under a mile, continue slightly to the right onto Fowler Creek Road.

After approximately 0.8 mile, take a right onto Forest Road 4517, and continue for about half a mile. Take a left onto Forest Road 4517-117, and continue to the washout of the road. Park here and the trailhead is on the other side of the washout.
